Short version: almost nothing. Here's the long version, in plain English.
This policy applies to trunodedigital.com, operated by TruNode Digital LLC, a Maryland limited-liability company. It covers what happens when you visit the site or send an inquiry through it. It does not cover the websites TruNode builds for clients — each of those has its own policy set by its owner.
When you submit the inquiry form. The form asks for your name, email address, and a description of your project, plus optional business name, phone number, and existing website. It also records which project type, budget range, and timeline options you selected. This is used for one purpose: to reply to you about your project. It's delivered to info@trunodedigital.com through Web3Forms, a form-delivery service that relays the message and does not retain it for its own use. Your submission is kept in that inbox for as long as it's useful to the conversation, then deleted on request or during routine cleanup.
When you visit any page. The site uses Plausible Analytics to count visits. Plausible is built for privacy: it sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses, assigns no persistent identifiers, and cannot follow you across other websites. What it records is aggregate — which pages were viewed, roughly where visitors are from (country level), what kind of device and browser was used, and which site referred them. If you complete the inquiry form, Plausible logs that a submission happened and which project-type, budget, and timeline options were chosen — never your name, email, or message. None of this can be traced back to you.
When you email or call. If you reach out directly, your message is handled like any other business correspondence — read, replied to, and kept only as long as the conversation is relevant.
A small number of service providers are involved in simply running the site. Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and none is permitted to use your information for its own purposes:
That's the complete list. Everything else — fonts, images, scripts — is served from trunodedigital.com itself, so no other company sees your visit. Your information is never sold, rented, traded, or shared with advertisers or data brokers, and is disclosed to anyone else only if required by law.
The portfolio section links to client websites, and this page links to a few service providers. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which TruNode doesn't control.
You can browse the entire site without providing any information. If you've submitted an inquiry and want it deleted, corrected, or want to know what's on file, email info@trunodedigital.com and it'll be handled promptly — no forms, no verification hoops beyond confirming it's really you. Residents of California, Virginia, and other states with privacy statutes have specific rights under those laws; because this site collects so little, honoring them is simple, and the same email address is the place to exercise them.
This site is for businesses and adults seeking web development services. It isn't directed at children under 13, and no information is knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, email the address above and it will be removed.
If the way this site handles information ever changes — say, a new tool is added — this page will be updated and the effective date at the top will change. The commitments in "the short version" above are the ones that matter, and the intent is to keep them.
